A Total Events Transformation can’t happen without a fantastic crew! We’re looking to expand our team of event professionals with self-motivated individuals who enjoy working on a team! We are currently hiring for the following positions:

Warehouse Support & Driver

As a member of Total Events' Delivery Driver & Warehouse team, you will be responsible for driving company trucks and loading and unloading of trucks. This is a very physical position that requires some early morning, late night, and weekend shifts. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for their work, are self motivated and a team player. Team members will be doing events throughout the Capital Region. We service a large variety of events from convention services to weddings, tent rentals, government functions, galas and more throughout the area.
Responsibilities:

-Deliver event equipment to a variety of locations in the Capital Region

-Complete the setup and/or breakdown of tents, tables/chairs, conventions, decor, lighting and more

-Follow and execute a specific event layout within a strict timeline as determined by the Production Manager

-Maintain and inventory all event, production, tools, hardware, and storage equipment

-Adhere to safety procedures, removing any obstacles and potential dangers from the event space

-Uphold Total Events standards at all times and follow all implemented policies and procedures

-Operate vehicles including, but not limited to, box trucks, forklifts, and delivery vans

Requirements:

-Commercial truck driving experience

-Safe Driving Record

-Strong sense of urgency and work ethic

-Ability to work and contribute in a team environment

-Self-starter and multi-tasker who can manage simultaneous projects

-Strong problem solving skills

-Ability to take initative and contribute ideas and solutions

-Focused and orgainzed, with attention to detail

-Excellent verbal communication skills

-Forklift certified, preferred

-Able to lift 50lbs or more

-Reliable transportation

Convention & Event Specialist

Sales/Customer Service & Event Design/Implementation

-Manage all Convention client relationships including proposals, meetings, venue relationships and onsite management of convention events

-Client correspondence from beginning phone call/email to event completion (including: onsite consults, showroom consults and day of install oversight)

-Composing client quotations and imparting guidelines and recommendations to client

-Event Design based on our experience(s) with venues/specific set ups

-Managing Exhibitor relations, including entering orders, tracking drayage and ensuring orders are fulfilled successfully

-Client Relationship Management, including corresponding with client to ensure clients know that we have done everything we can to satisfy their requests

-Assisting with new design ideas, product procurement and implementation

-Performing Site Inspections

Administrative:


-Answering phones and handling customer walk in's

-Fielding info emails/price list inquiries

-Assisting with various administrative tasks as needed

Production:

-On site during production of convention and trade shows to manage implementation

-Review proposed jobs objectively and decide whether it is 1) feasible and 2) profitable as proposed.

-Serve as a liaison between the sales team and our crew, creating open communication lines so that both the front and back of the business work in sync with one another- ensuring a beautifully finished final product and a satisfied client.

-Responsible for maximizing our on-site relationship with key venues including communicating mutually beneficial delivery/breakdown, minimizing coordination issues.

-Review set up/breakdown sheets and make the necessary notes on each sheet that will help crew pull and install correctly and efficiently

-Identify and discuss with Director of Operations opportunities for improvement with crew and processes.

-Interface with venue contacts to determine new optons that is suited to their clients and unique to their property.

-Organize and improve efficiencies throughout business operations.
